VPNs With Servers in Russia (Updated 2023/2024)

This particular topic needs an update since the unfortunate political ongoings of spring 2022. Many articles on this topic may now no longer be relevant, with many VPN’s unfortunately pulling out of Russia altogether. Some of the bigger players in the VPN market (NordVPN, ExpressVPN), do not have servers there.

This leaves you with far fewer options than normal – you need to look a bit more deeply into the VPN market to find a provider that still offers Russian servers. Are there still any VPN services that offer servers in Russia? Is it still possible to get an IP address in Russia using a VPN?

Fortunately, there are still some VPN options left with Russian servers:

Option #1 – ProtonVPN

Swiss based PrivadoVPN are a great value new addition to this list, with a server location in Russia and superb value plans for 1 year. They’re a great budget option, but only if your main priority is encrypting your traffic and not streaming, since they don’t offer much streaming support.

Bottom line – Overall, if I was going purely on cost, I’d go for the excellent PrivadoVPN service, with it’s really low priced plans, closely followed by TurboVPN. If I was going specifically on server and location choice in Russia, I’d go for Le VPN. If I was going for the strongest, most reputable and neutral brand, I’d pick ProtonVPN. The others don’t particularly stand out in terms of features for Russian users specifically, but are still perfectly viable VPN options if you want an IP address in Russia over a secure connection.
